MY STORY
Sam Florance

I first fell in love with folk art during the bicentennial year of 1976. That year we celebrated our nation’s birth, and Americans looked back at the wonderful body of art and craft from the early days of our nation. Just a few years later, in 1979, I attended a wonderful exhibit of the work of Anna Mary Robertson Moses at the National Gallery of Art in Washington. I’ve been painting ever since. Over the years I’ve enjoyed trying other art forms, such as doll-making, silhouette-cutting, and, recently, multi-media collage, and some of those works may be showing up in the Gallery soon.

All items offered for sale are original, hand-done works. Please visit my website if you would like the option of buying giclee prints of some originals. You can also get a closer look at the details of the paintings there.

Best Wishes,
Sam Florance
