MY STORY
Sherri Fendler

Hi my name is Sherri and this is how
The Potting Shed Antiques and Gifts came about.
I grew up in St. Louis, the middle child of 5, so money was a little tight , my mother would make our clothes. Watching her sew was what sparked my interest in the craft. Her loving hands would measure and fit us to make sure every seam was perfect. When she wasn't sewing she would be at her easel creating beautiful paintings. For some reason I just remember I loved the smell of those oil paints. We kids were able to go to one of her art shows. I remember looking at all her paintings and thinking wow my mom did that. I was so proud. When I got older and had kids of my own I started making crafts with my children and then it grew into selling at craft shows. I enjoy collecting primitives antiques, so I thought I would focus my arts and crafts in that direction. We now live 45 min from St. Louis in a log cabin on 6 acres. My studio consists of my sewing room, living room, kitchen, dining room, basement and the garage. My thoughts are always about what can I create next.
